Rhyl High School Library
We are extremely proud of our Library, especially the smarter and more spacious facilities here in the new school.
As a key resource for the school’s literacy agenda and information hub for other subjects, the library is available for class bookings during lesson times and pupils can make use of library resources during lesson times with the permission of their subject teachers.
We offer a safe, friendly atmosphere where pupils feel secure so that they can enjoy the experience of exploring the wide world that is available to them through reading and other information resources, particularly internet material. There is a wide range of books and non-book information resources, including non-fiction and media, appealing to boys and girls alike. Reading for pleasure is also encouraged.
Pupils also have access to laptops for homework and research purposes.
The Library is open daily from 8:30 am to 4:30pm (4:00pm on Fridays).
Pupils are welcome to use the library after school every day and lunchtime sessions are reserved for specific years as follows:
Year 7 - Mondays and Fridays
Year 8 - Tuesdays
Year 9 - Wednesdays
Years 10 and 11 - Thursdays
